PASSION PROJECT - SUSTAINING CREATIVES: DESIGNING A PLATFORM FOR ARTISTS' FINANCIAL STABILITY

CHALLENGE AND CONTEXT
The contemporary art landscape in South Africa is dynamic, multifaceted, and deeply intertwined with social, political, and economic contexts. While the art market is experiencing growth, significant economic inequalities persist, and not all artists benefit equally from this expansion. Many South African artists still face challenges in making a sustainable living from their artworks, highlighting ongoing issues of economic disparity within the sector.

SOLUTION
A mobile sales app, empowering artists with greater independence and a consistent livelihood. It is a unique product that expands revenue opportunities for artists beyond traditional art sales. The concept introduces additional income streams such as art rentals and auctions to ensure more stable, predictable earnings.

DESIGN PROCESS
